In this summer, Real Madrid has made five significant signings: Kaka from AC Milan for about 67 million euros, Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived from Manchester United by 93 million euros, Raul Albiol came from Valencia for 15 million euros, Karim Benzema is signed from Lyon for 35 million euros and Xabi Alonso came from Liverpool costing himself 34 million euros.
Galactico’s new coach, Manuel Pellegrini has to work with a bunch of talented superstars. Having such football celebrities is for sure, something to be happy and confident. However, it also can become hard for the Chilean coach to fit the players in the correct formation according to their strength and specialty.
The most common 4-4-2 is Manuel Pellegrini’s favorite system. An experienced back four will protect the custodian Iker Casillas. Having some new players in hand, this formation can create some complexions, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka’s positions. Ronaldo finds himself in his best, when playing in a 4-3-3 formation when there are hesitations that whether Kaka can adapt himself into the left sided against the midfielder’s role.
Many propose 4-2-3-1 as the best formation for Madrid. The main dispute about this formation is that, there would be extra pressures on Alonso and Diarra to hold their defensive midfield line. Robben, Kaka and Robinho are not perfect in their defensive positions.
4-3-3 can be another considerable option for Pellegrini. The main back four remains same here, but the major change is in the attack line and in the midfield. This formation will be useful to settle the three superstars-Ronaldo, Benzema and Kaka.
